Pupcups, nature and more pupcups!
We are extremely lucky in that we get to always spend our weekends as a family of four, neither mum nor dad have work so we make up for all the adventuring we miss during the week! We always make sure the boys get out and about, exploring new places and having a proper chance to burn off that crazy cocker energy. Whether that be going to our local park, the beach (we live just 20 minutes out thankfully), or booking a dog field, we without fail always get some form of exercise in!
This particular weekend we met up with our friends at a new dog field (Grow Walkies); this was Reggie's first proper time meeting a large group of dogs (there was about 7 dogs) and he absolutely loved it! Rocco being the crazy boy he is made full use of the field and was chasing the other dogs all around! Reggie explored too, but he always makes sure to keep close by to mum! Seeing them be able to run-free and in their happy places makes our hearts content so dog fields have definitely become a firm favourite outing of ours! After the dog field, we went to our Braintree Village Outlet and fitted in some shopping with the boys... I would highly recommend as the dogs are allowed in most shops and it is extremely dog friendly! We of course fitted in a pupcup stop (yes, even in this cold weather) and got the boys one of their favourite weekend treats! Most Starbucks are dog-friendly which is ideal and super convenient as they are everywhere! We then headed home and chilled for the evening!
We started our Sunday morning with a trip to our local park and of course stopped (again) for a yummy treat... this time we went for frozen yogurt and the boys loved it! After a nice walk, a visit to see the ducks and a little play in the park, we headed home. With current UK weather, it isn't uncommon for us to also fit in a bath at some point over the weekend too! Its currently soggy spaniel central in our household! We always try to have a relaxing Sunday so our afternoons tend to be spent cuddled up on the sofa, watching a film as a four! The boys of course demand more treats during this time and being the typical dog mum I am I of course would never say no so we tend to keep them busy with either a LickiMatt or some form of enrichment, such as a puzzle! These are our favourite kind of afternoons!
We would love to know what a typical weekend looks like for you so please feel free to drop us a message or comment below! Does your weekend look similar to ours?
With Love,
